Rick Parent

Rick Parent was born November 12 1949 in Miami Florida to immi- grant parents. At the age of 10 his family moved to Washington D.C. Always in love with the music he spent over forty years in the music business. A Heart attack forced him to “de-stress” his life and he among other of the Doctor’s suggestions he moved to the Texas countryside and lives on a 100 acre ranch with horses, donkeys Llamas and goats. As interesting as it is, the journey from the Night clubs

of Washington D.C. to a small east Texas ranch is of little importance compared to finding his soul in the lessons from a wolf named Hunter.

Hunter passed away on August 5th 2017. A Lovely lady from New Orleans granted her daughter’s life wish to kiss, pet and hug a real wolf. Hunter, always the gentleman sat with her and loved meeting them. He passed an hour after they left. He was 123 in K-9 Years.

Rick is now Managing Director of a school of the arts in Commerce, Texas. He helps under privileged youth with song writing, music lessons and the fundamentals of photography.
