Laura Hooper

Laura Hooper (1981-___) grew up outside the small town of McDonald, Kansas. She obtained her nursing license in 2002. In 2003, she married the love of her life, Jason and had twin girls several years later. When one of her 1st grade daughters, who was a fluent reader, had trouble with math problems and was frustrated with numbers, Laura found the inspiration to write the Sumbunnies and the Tom Cat. This book was written using simple addition facts to help children learn.

Laura stays busy educating her daughters, helping on the farm, volunteering for the local fire department and caring for livestock.
