Rob Holt is a middle-aged married man from the UK with a teenage daughter, and he discovered a talent for poetry after attending a creative writing group organised by his local mental health trust. He finds it to be great therapy and has won awards for some of his poems. It was suggested that he should publish a collection of his first 36 poems, so this is his first book. The poems cover a variety of subjects; some funny, some more serious and some nonsense poems, covering such subjects as Donald Trump, the UK Prime Minister Theresa May, a tribute to Prince Harry and Meghan, as well as poems about nature, dementia, depression and schizophrenia.
Rob has suffered from depression since his 20's and 4 years ago he was diagnosed with schizophrenia and anxiety which was so severe that it made him unable to work. Prior to Rob's diagnosis, he was a member of a local running club, having completed many 5k & 10k races, half-marathons and two full marathons. Other interests of Rob's are walking, socialising, attending stand-up comedy and open mic nights.
