Peter Corney is a Maintenance Engineer, visionary, storyteller.
Papua New Guinea born and Melbourne raised, Peter studied Aerospace Engineering at R.M.I.T. before moving to Falls Creek in 1991 to be a snowboarder. He went on to live twenty-six winters at home and thirteen overseas working in all aspects of mountain resorts including sponsored athlete. Chasing snow and working seasons in Australia, USA, Japan, Canada, France, Switzerland and New Zealand.
As a pioneer snowboarder, Peter began writing stories and modelling photos to promote epic living. As a founding member of the Summit Boardriders he fought for equality and campaigned for Freestyle Terrain Parks. Tirelessly working in inspiration, construction and maintenance through the turn of the millennium. Producing and publishing his first EPIC storybook - Poetry for the People - in 2002, Peter identified skiers, boardriders, bikers and flyers all belonging to the same genre. He campaigned along side the likes of those who pushed the introduction of professionally built Terrain Parks for snow, skate, surf and bike riders. Epic dreaming.
Through a path that scripts like a movie he also produced ten EPIC journals while collecting material for his next storybook. While visioning a global solution for Halfpipe expansion using Geothermal Technology. And writing a biography of Freestyle skiing legend Eric Hymans titled Born to Fly - Australian Freestyle Roots. All of which are tools to bring shared dreams into reality.
Peter preaches about the Summit Heartcore International Freeride Tribe (SHIFT), a mythical breed of rider who help others find their own EpicBalance and make Earth a better place for everybody. Creating photo storylines to inspire one-love and equilibrium is his passion, hence his business being called Epicscope and his friends calling him Pea Ce.
Peter is now working on a photo storybook titled EPIC - medicine for the madness which can be pre-ordered via donation at https://www.gofundme.com/epic-medicine-for-the-madness
As he finds his feet as a writer we are sure to be inspired by more EPIC works.
