Brian Garr has spent over 30 years helping to build the computer industry as a CEO, COO, CRO, and CTO of various software startups, primarily in the artificial intelligence space, as well as a decade at IBM working on speech recognition and machine translation. He is considered a subject matter expert on AI and has spoken around the world on the topic. In 1998 he was awarded the Smithsonian Institutes’ “Heroes in Technology” award for his work in Machine Translation. He has published multiple white papers and documents on AI, as well as a chapter on Machine Translation in an AI textbook often used in college level courses. He has acted as a professional witness for AI specific legal cases. He lives in Boynton Beach, Florida with his wife of 40+ years, Lisa.
