Jonathan Newman

Jonathan created iconic brand CHI in 2010, an FMCG drinks company manufacturing coconut water and coconut related products. Within the space of a year CHI was in over 1000 outlets in the UK. CHI now sells in over 30 countries, 3000 UK stores and saw growth of 300% year on year.

In 2015 Jonathan launched “Giving Tree”, a healthy fruit snack company, now for sale in 13 countries. Most notably Jonathan appeared on Dragon's Den and, although being described by Deborah Meaden as "highly investable", Jonathan turned down an offer by the Dragons.

A filmmaker by trade, Jonathan has 20 years experience directing films for the cinema. Credits include the $25 m action adventure film The Adventurer: The Curse of the Midas Box, starring Michael Sheen and Sam Neill and award winning Foster (AKA Angel in the House), starring Toni Collette and Richard E Grant.

He is the author of "The Entrepreneur's Toolkit", "CHI: The Cookbook", "The Little Pocket Guide to Happiness" and an assistant author on "The Guerilla Filmmaker's Handbook".
