Hello readers, it does not matter to me who you are or what role you have decided to play in this life. What matters most is that we are all in it together and that each of us has something to share. For myself it has become my journey to share with the next generations an enlightenend ability to see beyond the physical, material world and to search a little deeper within. To see that we are all made of love and that we are not in fact seperate from one another.
I was born in Toronto Ontario Canada, my parents are of Portuguese heritage.
My passions growing up included, martial arts, whales, Ninja Turtles, Peter Pan and I loved imagination games.
As a child my love for martial arts manifested within my reality. I began the journey at the age of 6. After a lot of begging, my parents finally managed to save enough money to put me in a karate class. They realized quickly my passion as well as natural ability for the art, and so nurtured it. My journey on that path continues to this day, and I remain forever humbled and greatful that I have been afforded this experience. However, for a time in my life that path was redirected by a series of seemingly unfortunate events.
At the age of 11 my family was devastated with the abandonment of my father. He had decided that he had to change his life and was not happy. Down the line throughout my learning and realizations I became aware of how important that was for my personal growth. I lived under no one's shadow and was never burdened with expectation as many people often are.
My mother, my younger brother Joshua and myself were now a trio that was held together by love. My mother was a determined woman who was able to attain financial security for our family through a lot of hard work and perseverance. She raised us with an ability to view the world through an open lens. However, through much struggle and trauma, her journey has not been an easy one. She has suffered with mental health which has given us another perspective of life. For example, the importance of having our mind as a guest on our journey and not in control of it. Our awareness to mental health disorders has ignited within us a strong drive to help future generations with understanding what this "human" experience is all about and how to make the best of it.
As for myself, I have spent my 20's in search of everything I always felt I needed and wanted without realizing I had it the whole time. What I found was the present moment. The awareness that we only exist here and now. Living through our full presence and awareness we bring a different quality of life and happiness in to our reality. I hope to inspire a generation to live in the light and love everyone.
