Festa Pfannkuch

Kym Pfannkuch was born in Bridgeport, CT in 1972. She grew up in Trumbull, CT. From an early age she enjoyed art. Kym studied Illustration and Graphic Design at Paier College of Art. After illustrating the children's book Poppy's Plateful of Smiles in 1995 Kym worked in the field of graphic design in both web and print. Stan Festa was born in Stamford, CT in 1970. He grew up in Norwalk and Monroe, CT. Stan loved sports, especially Football. After working as a Fairfield County Sheriff he began his own landscape company. In 1997 they married. Kym and Stan spent the little free time they had outside in nature and messing around with art. Born with art and design skills they utilized them in their first joint business building waterfalls and koi ponds. At the end of 2005 they moved to FL. Here they live with their two kids Jaxx and LeeLoo. Both are rescue dogs, their family. You will find them traveling on the road in their RV for work and play. The two work extremely well together and so chose to use the name Festa Pfannkuch representing themselves as one entity. (Pfannkuch is pronounced FanCook) They write and create art together as a unified creative team bouncing ideas back and forth until the project is complete. As for the Illustrations it is Kym who puts the pencil to paper while Stan helps with art direction. The struggles of their character Jacob in this children's book mirrored the couple's struggles in getting their book to you. After many closed doors, setbacks and disappointments the team decided that when you can't find the right door you make one instead. They have several other stories already written and several more in early concept stages. So it's full speed ahead!
