Robert Robotti was born in New York City during the first year of the Baby Boom generation: 1946. In 1985, he relocated to Southern California, in the midst of a 30-year career as a serial entrepreneur. From 1977-1984, he was CEO of an international export company, and from 1994 - 2011, he was co-founder and CEO, of a nationally acclaimed, commercial real estate investment firm.
After attempting retirement in 2006, 2011, and 2015, Robert wanted to transition into a retirement lifestyle filled with purpose, meaning, fun, and fulfillment. He observed a similar challenge among his peers, recognizing that many seniors do not have a plan and are uncertain about how to live a life of relevance, vibrancy, and contentment, as they evolve in the later stages of life.
Robert was determined to design a life plan for his "golden years” by reflecting on his personal experiences and preferences. This process led him to create an “inner bucket list”, focused on “who and what” he wants to be as a senior, an empowering expansion of the traditional “bucket list” idea.
Robotti felt inspired to write The Senior Season to share this reflective process with other Baby Boomers who want to define their own lifestyle plan and to make the rest of their lives, the best of their lives.
Robert and his wife, Marilyn are avid golfers and enjoy strong family ties, with their daughters, Tracy and Ashley, and granddaughter, Sadie. Learn more at www.TheSeniorSeason.com.
