Michelle L Olson

Michelle Olson is an award-winning children’s book author, illustrator, and creator of the beloved Norman the Button series and Tales from the Craft Box. Her playful picture books for ages 4–8 combine laugh-out-loud adventures, memorable characters, and meaningful stories that help children explore confidence, courage, friendship, kindness, and family.

Michelle has been writing and illustrating children’s books since 2017. Her work has received recognition from Kirkus Reviews, the National Indie Excellence Awards, Pinnacle Book Achievement Awards, and the Children’s Book Council, among others.

Michelle brings her stories to life using an imaginative mix of photography, Photoshop, miniature toys, and craft materials. The result is a distinctive storybook world where ordinary objects become extraordinary characters—and even the smallest button can have a very big adventure.

She is also the creator of the Bellie Button Reading Club, which encourages children to read books they love, collect character trading cards, and discover the joy of reading.
