KEVIN CARROLL is a native of San Francisco, California. He is a graduate of St. Ignatius College Preparatory, Santa Clara University (BA-English), and the University of San Francisco (MA-Education). Following a 43-year career in teaching and pastoral ministry, He now devotes his time to writing and speaking on the topic of gratitude.
Carroll has been blogging on the topic of gratitude since December 2006. His blog, "Attitude of Gratitude," has close to 2,000 posts about the people, experiences, opportunities, challenges, and gifts with which he has been blessed throughout his lifetime. In November 2022, he launched a new blog, "A Beacon of Light."
Carroll first book, A Moment's Pause for Gratitude, was published in 2017. Since that time, he has published several other books: Cherries in the Summer (2021), The Ambassador of 38th Avenue (2002), Dad: 12 Questions... (2023), A Focus on Gratitude (2024), and Through the Lens of Gratitude (2024).
Currently living in San José, California, Kevin and his wife, Kathy, have three sons and five grandchildren. He enjoys reading and is tremendously grateful for the friendship and positive influence he has received from such authors as Roland Merullo, Hal Urban, and Don McPhail. Through his own writing, Carroll hopes to inspire others to embrace an attitude of gratitude in their own lives and to express their gratitude freely and frequently.
