Prof. Dr Oliver Lazar is a medical doctor and professor for computer science. He obtained his doctorate in the natural sciences of medicine in 2008 with his dissertation on the topic of "Effects on the sympathetic nervous system with combination therapies in the treatment of patients with high blood pressure" at the Clinic for Nephrology of the University Hospital Essen. He headed the IT department of the general public hospital Zell am See in Austria and gained profound experience in applied research through various research projects as a scientist and project manager at the Fraunhofer Institute for Microelectronic Circuits and Systems (IMS) in Duisburg. Since 2012, he has been a professor of computer science at the FOM University of Applied Sciences in Düsseldorf.
After the tragic accidental death of a classmate of his then 13-year-old daughter in 2017, he underwent a complete life change in connection with profound personal spiritual experiences that opened the door to a much larger world for him. As a result, he began to view and understand the world holistically, completely detached from world views. He conducted the EREAMS study, the largest empirical study with 500 international participants on evidence-based afterlife contacts. He has reported on the results of this study, his personal spiritual awakening experience and a critical examination and questioning of the materialistic world view with abiogenesis and evolution in many interviews and lectures.
