Joe is a United States Marine Veteran who served during the Afghanistan campaign. After his service he obtained his Master's in Human Performance. While pursuing his education he coauthored a functional kinesiology text book, research articles, and presented research findings at national level conferences. For his master’s thesis he studied force, power, and velocity in the vertical jump, standing broad jump, and sprint in elite, collegiate football athletes. As a coach he has worked with non-athletes and athletes to optimize training and competing outcomes. His areas of specialty include sport nutrition, fatigue management, conditioning, recovery, barbell technique, and performance training. Using his experiences and education Joe has authored the books you see here with the purpose of building up the why so that there is more intention in the execution.
