Albert Alejandro Ávila

He was born in Sincelejo, Colombia. He specializes in emergency medicine and medical education. As an accomplished author, he has contributed numerous scientific articles to prestigious international journals. His editorial work includes the books 'Toxicología en urgencias guía práctica' (Emergency Toxicology Guide) in 2015 and its updated edition in 2024, 'Semiología médica de Cediel, 8th Edition' (Cediel's Medical Semiology) in 2019, and 'Trauma guía práctica' (Practical Trauma Guide) in 2024. His career extends to being a researcher and a university professor, where he is recognized as a leading expert in poisoning and toxicology for undergraduate and graduate students across various universities in Latin America.
