Lisa Richardson is a retired elementary school teacher with over 37 years of classroom experience. She is an active member of PFLAG, a support organization for LGBTQ individuals, families, friends, and allies. She is a frequent speaker for the PFLAG Speaker’s Bureau, speaking at schools, businesses, and community organizations who are seeking education about sexual orientation, gender identity, or the LGBTQ community. As a school and community outreach coordinator, she works with school districts, counselors, and educators providing resources and training in working with LGBTQ students and creating gender inclusive and welcoming schools and classrooms. Prior to becoming an educator, Lisa worked as a Social Worker with the County of Orange in California.
