Sat Shree has been teaching for over 20 years in the US, India, and Europe on how to collaborate with the naturally occurring process of one’s awakening. “It is actually a very mechanical process of unfolding,” he says, “as consciousness wakes up, begins to let go of its identity as a biological being, and starts to identity itself with its original source—which can be experienced and known. It’s not about some God up there, selecting and judging. Transformation is a natural process.”
His own unexpected, sudden, and dramatic awakening in 1998 quickly led him to his teacher, Sri Atmananda, under whose guidance he lived in India for six years, as he experienced increasingly ecstatic—and challenging—experiences. But as a westerner and as an architect, he was endlessly curious to understand and also articulate the mechanics and underlying universal principals of a personal awakening. He discovered the Bhagavad Gita as a guide that describes the entire path of enlightenment, including the signposts, stages, dangers, and states along the way.
Returning to the United States, Sat Shree re-joined his wife and spiritual companion, Satyamayi, to found the New Dharma community to support his teachings. His mission in the collective consciousness is to manifest a new spiritual culture that is in alignment with universal spiritual principles, and by doing so inspire mankind to create a sustainable future.
In his first book, “The Bhagavad Gita Revealed,” he unravels the ancient text as a living teaching for our times. For more, visit satshree.org
