John Perron was born (1961) and raised on the North Shore of Massachusetts, the third of six children in a loving and supportive family. Determined to flee all that, and after studying literature at UMASS Amherst, he hitchhiked out to the North Beach neighborhood of San Francisco, read a lot of his heroes’ books, and tried earnestly to emulate their disdain for conventional norms. He was more than a bit of a shit about it.
Norms will be norm, however. The author eventually married extremely well and now lives in Seattle with his lovely wife, Lisa. He has written a previous novel and screenplay and helps pay the bills by delivering the US Mail. Prior to entering that noble profession, he spent eleven years at home with his twins, Mika and Kenzo. At some point in that experience, it became not all about the author.
