April McCallum

April McCallum is an author and illustrator. She intermingles words and visuals, color and design, inspiration and humor to bring her unique brand and positive creativity to the world. She was born and raised in southern California where she retired from a successful career in the high-tech industry. She now enjoys (an almost) full-time creative life.

Her writing and illustration work is inspirational, hope-filled and empowering. While her cartoonist side brings humor with an extraordinary twist to the table. In addition to a wide range of illustration and cartooning topics, April has long been an "advocacy artist." She designs creative pieces that interweave words and visuals that speak to issues close to her heart. Current topics include: The Power of One, Addiction-Recovery, Grief & Loss, Mental Health, Faith, Adoption and Empowering Women.

Her artwork has been licensed for business and non-profits; and printed on a variety of gift products. She's also participated in international art exhibits and charity auctions that raise funds for worthy causes. Her work has appeared in a number of mainstream magazines and other publications, including cover art.

"I love dreaming and creating, working in themes and creative collaborations. My passion is to communicate in a unique fashion that inspires and stimulates hearts and minds through fresh ideas, beauty, humor and wonder."

April was born in Bel Air, California and transplanted in Central Florida where she lives (and blooms) with her amazing husband, beautiful family and two ridiculous turtles, Picasso & Gazoo.
