Julie Ferber Frank

Julie Frank is a college application essay writing coach. Her students have received acceptances at Harvard, Stanford, Princeton, Penn, Columbia, Brown, MIT, Georgetown, UC Berkeley, UCLA, Vanderbilt, Amherst, Northwestern, Vassar, Michigan, NYU, and 100 more colleges and universities. With warmth, humor, and rigor, Julie guides students as they brainstorm ideas, craft a story, and reveal the unique value they will bring to their college campus, resulting in an authentic, meaningful, moving essay written in the student’s own voice.

When Julie recognized how many deserving teens don’t have access to private coaching, she distilled her system into CRUSHING THE COMMON APP ESSAY: A Foolproof Guide to Getting into Your Top College (SparkNotes May 2018). The book aims to teach all students how to present their best selves on the page and powerfully advocate for themselves in the college application process.

Julie earned a BA in Humanities from UC Berkeley and an MFA in Screenwriting from the USC School of Cinematic Arts. She lives in Los Angeles with her husband and three children.
