My name is Clara Berge although that isn't my actual name. I've always wanted a pen name, and at last I have one! There is something mysterious about having a pen name, don't you think? I won't tell you my name, but I'll tell you a bit about my real life.
I have always loved stories; reading and writing them since I was young. My first-grade teacher was convinced that I would become a writer one day. Life got busy and until now I have never tried to write novels. I've written thousands of journal pages and poems throughout my life though.
I was born in Africa, and grew up under white clouds and blue skies, with red earth between my bare toes. Met my other half, got married, and a year later moved to the other side of the world. We now live happily in the grass-green country of England with our eldest daughter and four sons.
Five years ago, while expecting my last baby, I got prenatal depression. For 7 months I was in a very dark tunnel. In desperation I turned to an old love - writing. This is where The Drifter was born. It took years before I published it but it was the start of something new and life-changing.
With every story I'm growing, as a writer, and as a person. I'd like to take you on the journey with me, as we let our imaginations take us places, we have never been before.
Blessings from my home to yours.
