Clayton Ball

I was born in Tampa, Florida in the late 1980's. I moved to Georgia when I was 3 and returned to the Sunshine State at 13. Music became a big part of my life when I joined the high school drum line. I graduated Brandon High School in 2005 and enrolled at the University of South Carolina where I received my BA in English and minor in Theater. I graduated in 2010 and have lived in Spartanburg County in the Upstate for 8 years. I worship at Central Church of Christ.

I'm in a band with a couple of other guys from church. As of last April, Infinity War has replaced Lord of the Rings as my favorite movie. I play many open-world video games. I've been married to my beautiful wife Tabitha for 8 1/2 years. We have two adorable daughters, Savannah (5) and Kasee (2). I have been a substitute teacher for Spartanburg County schools for 3 years. Skittles are particularly effective when teaching.

Savannah and the Sea of Songs is my first solo fiction novel. I co-wrote the non-fiction Beneath the Psalm Tree with Tabitha in 2017.

I like pizza and chicken nuggets and am pretty good at foosball.
