Gary O'Toole

Writer/Producer

Gary is a Producer, writer and author, he was born in the North west of the United Kingdom. Gary first gained notoriety when he won the 1977 International New Faces competition the age of 11. After graduation from school, Gary turned semi-professional, touring the night club circuit as a comedy impersonator. In 1982 Gary was accepted into the Manchester College of Dramatic Arts, but was ultimately unable to attend. In1992, following three and a half years traveling the world, Gary returned to the UK to continue with his education and in 1995 qualified as a Registered General Nurse. In 1998 he joined the British Army Reserves, being appointed to the rank of Captain.

In 2004 Gary was deployed to Al Basrah, Iraq, where he spent eight months attending to the medical needs of the coalition forces. In 2005, following discharge from the forces, Gary and his family emigrated to Australia. They now live in Melbourne. Gary’s love of all things film and writing lead him to form his own production company. Gary is founder and owner of Red Rock Pictures PTY LTD, A bright and promising Melbourne feature film and television production house. Red Rocks Pictures has several projects in various stages of development, their philosophy is a simple one, they don’t make Australian content, They make international content, filmed in Australia. Projects in development include Television comedies Head-Shots. Hook Line and Sink Her as well as police procedural Deep Cover Operative. Feature films Nulla, The Lucifer Killings and Fraker’s Way.

Gary is also the author of 26 children’s books The amazing Colourdore Collection and all books are on sale

internationally, with the books being in store in North America, India and Europe, as well as on line through Amazon.
