Chip Colquhoun

Chip began writing at the age of 4. Now he is one of the storytellers you can watch for free on the Oxford Owl and Epic Tales YouTube channels.

He began storytelling professionally in 2007, and has since led storytelling performances and workshops in 10 countries, performed regularly at Glastonbury Festival, and represented the Roald Dahl Story Museum on ITV. He put together the EU’s guidance on using storytelling in the classroom, wrote the National English Hub's handbook on inspiring children to read for pleasure (known as 'All the Better to Read You With', public launch January 2024), and co-produces the 'Fables & Fairy Tales' series with Winnie the Witch illustrator Korky Paul.

He now lives in the former Cambridgeshire residence of Samuel Pepys, England’s most famous diarist, with his wife Emma and kittens Tito and Pippa.
