Mallory Howell

Mallory Howell is a wife, mother, stepmother, and former classroom teacher. She received her Bachelor’s in Elementary Education and her Master’s in Reading with a Reading Specialist endorsement from East Tennessee State University. She worked for over a decade in the public schools in her area, holding positions such as after-school caregiver, middle and elementary school classroom teacher, and reading interventionist. She stepped away from the classroom after the birth of her second son in November 2018. She now homeschools her two boys. Mallory loves reading all genres, cooking healthy meals, assisting her husband with DIY projects, tending her vegetable garden, and exploring the outdoors via the family RV.

She published her first children’s book, Soda Pop Drop, in 2018. In her first children's book, she shares a light-hearted story that was inspired by real-life events. She hopes Soda Pop Drop will bring humor, compassion, and encouragement to all families.

Mallory wrote The Little Ninja That Could: Conquer Kindergarten in early 2020. This story is inspired by her oldest son. This book is about overcoming fears. She hopes this book will be an encouragement to any child facing something uncertain or new.
