It has taken Dr. Gregory Williams over 30 years to begin the journey to healing of unveiling the horrors of what happened to him through his entire childhood. He has recently written a book chronicling his childhood and the sexual abuse that he endured at the hands of his father until he was almost 17 years old. The book, "Shattered By The Darkness: Putting the Pieces Back Together After Child Abuse" has recently been released.
Dr. Williams is traveling the country sharing his story and leading conferences/training workshops to teachers, physicians, counselors, social workers, parents, police officers and most importantly, victims. During these presentations he is sharing life changing lessons that he learned from his years of abuse along with the insight to survivors who are dealing with their own inner pain and doubts. He has a unique approach to teaching survivors the keys to helping overcome past abuse, traumatic events and major setbacks. The hope of sharing his story in this book and through these speeches/conferences is that it will inspire people and help them discover the secret to overcoming their own personal darkness so they can begin to turn their negative into a positive.
Dr. Gregory Williams is on the Senior Administrative Leadership Team at Baylor College of Medicine located in the Texas Children's Hospital's Pavilion for Women in Houston, Texas.
