Sarah Royer was born into a Midwest family and is a native to the Hoosier state of Indiana. Sarah was born into a teaching family in the 1970s and grew up in a family of readers, teachers and musical artists. As she grew up she found her love of sports, dance and gymnastics a great segue way into the world of music, art and literature. Sarah had the opportunity to learn and love music and dance, beginning a college career in music that quickly turned to pre-med studies and eventually evolved into her greatest love: Teaching.
As the daughter of a Ph.D. and writer; Sarah realized the importance of teaching and making learning fun for all age groups. Her mother, also an early childhood educator instilled the love of reading when she small and as the continued to grow so did this love of literature and teaching.
40 years later; Sarah turned her love of teaching and research in education, into early childhood curriculum development. Using her experience as a teacher, assistant director, curriculum coordinator and faith formation facilitator over almost 20 years; Sarah has developed a Reggio Emilia inspired curriculum for early childhood education, birth through second grade- Pathways with Purpose, Inspiration in Education. She is also in the midst of publishing her first short story/board book series for elementary school aged children.
In her spare time, Sarah loves spending time with her family, gardening and venturing her next half and full marathon races.
