Sarah E. Daly

Sarah E. Daly, Ph.D. is an assistant professor of Criminology, Law, and Society at Saint Vincent College in Latrobe, Pennsylvania. Prior to joining the faculty, she taught Spanish in Camden County, New Jersey for nine years before assuming the role of School Counselor. During that time, she educated and counseled students, many of whom came from areas affected by poverty and inner-city violence. She worked with students, families, teachers, administrators, and police to create and implement programs to assist students through mentoring, case management, group activities and counseling, and individual services.

She hopes that her experience in schools and the research that she conducts will help to inform school policy to reduce small- and large-scale school violence. Through texts and articles that are written specifically for working professionals in schools and in the general public, she aims to make academic research accessible and applicable to all readers.

Her primary areas of research are violence and gender.
