J.C. Smith

J.C. Smith is a lifelong writer. She started her craft with a poem that she wrote when she was four years old. After attending Princeton University, she spent the first twenty years of her career peddling burgers, diapers and laundry detergent as an advertising executive. J.C. has returned to her creative roots with the publication of her debut novel, THE DANGEROUS WOMAN’S GUIDE TO DOMESTICITY.

J.C.’s first genre loves are history, biography and classic literature; all of which have influenced her literary voice. She aims for authenticity in her writing, especially when it comes to women’s voices and perspectives.

She loves a good rye whiskey, hates spiders and is deeply suspicious of anything involving outer space. If she could do one thing for the rest of her life, she’d learn as many languages as she could and spend the rest of her days traveling the world and meeting new people.

J.C. currently lives in Michigan with her husband and two children.
