A. Malin

Writing duo M. Goldsmith and A. Malin (aka Melissa and Anita) were both born and bred on the shores of Long Island. The pair met more than twenty years ago when their daughters were in the same first grade class and soon discovered a shared love of reading, retrievers, and all things romance.

For years, the former teachers and obsessive romance readers joked about writing their own novel. On a lark, they decided to give it a shot and before long, their very first character was born. Ashlyn came to life on a legal pad, in a tiny booth at their local diner, surrounded by empty tea cups. Today, she, and her sister Guardians thrive in The House of Fire (2018) and The House of Water (2019), part of the planned four-book Guardians of the Elements series set in the magical world of Aether, published by The Wild Rose Press.

The duo enjoy hanging out with family and friends, especially their writing peeps from Long Island Romance Writers. These days, they spends most of their time teaming up over FaceTime, down by the beach, or strolling their neighborhood, all while plotting their stories together.

Thankfully, their own romance heroes of over thirty years provide tons of inspiration. Somehow, they also still manage to keep tabs on their grown children, who are out doing their own things.
