Brad Townsend

Brad was born in Barstow, CA, in 1963. His father was a career Marine and moved every few years until he retired. Growing up, Brad was a huge comic book fan, and in his early teens, his mother changed his life by buying him a copy of The Hobbit. Now, he’s a walking Tolkien encyclopedia! The Lord of the Rings started him on his journey of reading every sci-fi and fantasy book he could find. Although Brad’s first degree was in Drawing and Painting, his career mainly revolved around technology until the company he worked for eventually went out of business. Brad returned to school to become a Cardiovascular Technologist, but halfway through his clinical rotations, he realized it wasn't the right job for him. During his last job and while returning to school, he started writing. He had dabbled in writing in college but never pursued it seriously. Over the past four years, he started writing more, and the rest is history.

Brad loves fantasy, but as a gay man, there isn't much epic gay fantasy in the market today, so one of his goals is to fill a bit of that gap. A lover of long stories, his first series is just shy of a million words, broken up over six books. Essentially ,he wrote a story that he would want to read, and he hopes others will also.

After spending nearly ten years writing The Order, he wanted to write something shorter. He intends to write a series of MM/Romance/Erotica short stories to do something different, which he hopes readers will enjoy.

His father is a Vietnam-era disabled Marine Veteran. Brad officially retired and is currently his full-time caretaker. When not writing, Brad is usually gaming online in various MMOs or through Zoom with some old friends from college.
