Misty Basford

Misty Basford was born February 4, 1981 in Ravenna, Ohio, to two Rootstown, Ohio natives, Sherry Mahony and Wayne Riemenschneider. She grew up in Suffield/Mogadore, Ohio where she graduated from Field High School. After high school she worked full time and attended college. Later she joined the Army where she was stationed at Fort Jackson, SC. She was medically discharged and returned home. Soon after her time in the Army she met her husband James Basford III and stepson Dakota Basford. Jimmy and her married in 2012 and in 2014 had their first son Colton and in 2016 their son Kannon. Colton is the influence of her first book and many to follow.
