Dana Goodrum

Dana Goodrum, was born and raised in small town, USA until she attended undergrad and graduate school in Illinois' capital city, where she has then spent her adult life. Although establishing her career in state government, Dana has always been gifted in the arts. She won a national art award at the age of 6 and at 12 her first poetry piece was published.

At 32, Dana was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, an incurable and debilitating disease. With two children under the age of 12, she paired writing with her faith to battle the disease and stay focused on Christ. Her first published piece reached nearly half a million people all over the world, and inspired her to begin her blog My Faith Lift, and then her first book, Open with Your Broken. She continues to work in state government, while raising her children, and serving in teen ministry.
