Laurent was born and raised in Manhattan, where he came to know about Meher Baba in 1986. In 1997 he moved, with his family, to Flagstaff, Arizona where he co-founded, with four Flagstaff residents, The Light House ("TLH") spiritual center with a mission to recognize and freely share the light of Divine Presence with one and all. Participation at TLH gatherings included people of all faiths, such as: Buddhist, Hindu, Sikh, Christian, Pagan, Jewish, Islamic, Sufi and others.
In July 2004, Laurent founded OmPoint Innovations with support from Don E. Stevens. This included the OmPoint International Circular (magazine) to share Meher Baba's message of love and truth, and continuing to honor all spiritual paths, in the spirit of Baba's "Beads on One String." More recently was added OmPoint Press to publish spiritual books. Laurent has authored, and co-authored, many books about Avatar Meher Baba. In 2016 he remarried, and now lives in the Carolinas with his wife and children, and Khadija their loving cat.
Since 2012 Laurent has been working professionally on Big Data application development with Java, Scala, and Python and APIs from Apache Spark, Hadoop, Cassandra, Couchbase, MongoDB, and much more. Since 2021 he has been focused on Data Quality working for a multinational software company.
