About Ron Jensen

Ron Jensen is a lifelong resident of Nebraska and holds bachelor's and master's degrees from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln. Over the period of his career, he has served three tours of duty in Nebraska State Government, the first one - at age 25 - as a member of the Governor's staff and the last one as director of the state's then-largest agency, the Department of Public Institutions. In the private sector, he has served as a hospital vice president, administrator of a children and adolescent psychiatric hospital, the executive of a long-term care association, and deputy director and government relations specialist for a statewide hospital association, where his career as a lobbyist had its beginning.

In 1988, Ron rented a one-room basement office near the State Capitol and hung out a shingle as Jensen Associates, Inc. which would continue in operation until 2012, when he and former State Senator Kent Rogert teamed up to form Jensen-Rogert Associates. Though he no longer is actively engaged as a full-time lobbyist, Ron maintains an office at Jensen-Rogert, where he continues to be of counsel and tell an occasional story.

Ron is a native Nebraskan, a husband, father, and grandfather, a life-long outdoorsman, a world traveler, a published writer and award-winning photographer, a licensed pilot, and student of the history of Nebraska and the American West. He lives in Lincoln with his wife, Cindy.
