Barbara Saunders-Livingston

Barbara Renee' Saunders Livingston was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma to an alcoholic father and a mentally disabled mother suffering from Intellectual Disability (MR). She and her two biological brothers were discovered living in what was termed a "severely deprived" environment in the basement of a dilapidated building, no running water, with multiple homeless families.

Rescued from devastating abuse and neglect, then separated from her brothers, she was given a new name, and put in the foster care system. At the age of 3, now called Barbie, she was placed with and adopted to a safe home with no explanation or memory as to her biological circumstances. Due to certain deficits and vulnerabilities, unclear and undefined early on, she was led into exposure to witchcraft, a suicide attempt, and institutions.

Life did not get easier as a path of addiction, sexual slavery surrounded by trafficking, and incarceration ensued. In the course of her desperate battle God sent faithful witnesses, His word, rays of light as signs and signals, piercing the darkness, pointing to a way out. Damaged and without hope she accepted the one thing that could ransom and ultimately restore her broken life.

Barbara is a gifted author, speaker, and advocate who uses her gripping story to demonstrate the power of God's deliverance and love. Barbara has served on various women’s leadership teams including a human trafficking task force for the Baptist General Convention of Oklahoma educating and raising awareness.

She has shared her life-transforming testimony, for nearly two decades, across the United States including prison events hosted by the Billy Graham Foundation, Prison Fellowship, and Gideon’s State and International Conferences. Barbara has appeared on American Family Radio, Living Proof Radio Show, and as an awards presenter aired on GAC. She has written contributing articles for various newsletters and magazines. Her desire is to see others find freedom, experiencing God's salvation, love, and peace being forever restored.

Barbara is a Registered Nurse. She and her husband Ronald, have a blended family with six children, five grandchildren, and reside in Northwest Oklahoma.
