Carles Porta

I am an illustrator, animation film maker, and visual artist. I live in Lleida, Catalonia where I am also a professor of Illustration at the fine arts school of the city. I created the logo for ANIMAC, the international animation festival of Catalonia. I designed posters and openings for ANIMAC for more than 20 years. From my fascination for animated films, I have made two shorts and different works in visual spectacles and for children's theater. Together with Toni Tomas, I created the smallest cinema in the world: PUCK Cinema Caravan, which is a small travelling caravan showing films across Spain and Europe.

TALES from THE HIDDEN VALLEY and all its characters were inspired by my walks in the Pyrenees Mountains. I aspire to play the trumpet as well as Maximilian Cold one day.
