DANIEL PARKS

1942 to present

Born and raised in San Diego, California

Daniel always liked to make up stories and many of them were related to his poor scholastic performance throughout his growing up years. He graduated from Point Loma High School in 1960 and attended 2 years of college at San Diego City College, followed by a 4-year enlistment in the United States Navy.

He served in the Navy during the early years of the Vietnam War as an aircraft radar technician in Fighter Squadron VF-151 aboard the Aircraft Carrier, USS Coral Sea (CVA-43).

Shortly before returning to civilian life, he met and married a young Texas gal by the name of Sheila Mayse and they’ve been in love ever since. Together they raised 4 children and currently have 11 grandchildren and 1 great-grandson.

Daniel had a 43-year career in Design Engineering before retiring in 2007 at the age of 65.
