John Wonnacott

John Wonnacott was born in Charlottetown, PEI in 1948 and he lived on the Island until he attended Acadia University and then Nova Scotia Technical College (now Dalhousie University) where he graduated with a Master’s Degree in Engineering. He served in the Canadian Armed Forces as a Military Engineer for 13 years where he managed design and construction projects in the far North. As a civilian he helped build Canada's richest diamond mine, a new port in Madagascar, a nickel refinery in China and a gold mine in Brazil. John is now a consulting engineer with international experience in many countries, on 6 continents. He has 2 children and is happily married to Carole Anne.
