Sarah Louise Matthews

Sarah Louise Matthews is a British freelance paper engineer and paper cut designer, who works with a variety of brands and individual clients to design and make paper creations for photoshoots, visual merchandising, events and everything in between. Her previous clients include Ted Baker, Elemis, Clive Christian and Olivia Burton, and her work has been displayed in the windows of Selfridges and Marks & Spencer in London. She has contributed many papercraft projects to Mollie Makes magazine as well as being featured in other publications including Uppercase and Brides.

Sarah has been an avid maker for as long as she can remember, from her earliest memories folding origami penguins and cutting paper doll chains, to graduating from her Textile Surface Design Degree in 2011 with a graduate collection of paper jewellery, to now spending her days buried under paper in her studio in Sheffield, cutting, folding, gluing and interlocking to create innovative and playful paper designs. She is a design-enthusiast, sucker for good packaging design and self-proclaimed perfectionist, who loves to explore, wear stripes and nest when not in the studio.
