Carolyn S. Manard Ph.D.

Carolyn S. Manard, Ph.D. is a national consultant on special education, leadership, and family engagement. Currently the Director of Special Education for the Ankeny, Iowa Community School District, Carolyn received her doctorate in Educational Leadership & Policy Studies from Iowa State University with her research on novice, rural principals. Dr. Carolyn Manard also has her Masters of Education in Educational Leadership, Masters of Science in Special Education and Bachelor Degree in Elementary Education. She has been a special education teacher, high school assistant principal, middle school principal, early childhood/elementary principal, superintendent and special education director for 18 years.
