Mary E. Oswell

Mary E. Oswell is a native of Bonita who attended Ella B. Allen Elementary and Bonita Vista Junior High and has a bachelor of arts in anthropology. She remembers buying treats at the candy counter in the Bonita Store and riding the ponies at Bradley Stables. After a short stint in the real world after college, she took her background into the nonprofit sphere, and worked at the Maritime Museum of San Diego and the San Diego Automotive Museum before being both a volunteer and employee of the Bonita Museum & Cultural Center. She was part of the capital campaign team that brought the Bonita Museum & Cultural Center to its new home in 2006, and in 2011, she left San Diego to move to Colorado, where she continues to volunteer at local history museums and collect stories of local history.
