Simon Bewick

Simon Bewick was born in the North East of England in 1969. He graduated from Reading University with a degree in Film and Drama; writing, directing and editing the film 'Air of December' as his dissertation project.

He has had short stories published in a range of both print and online publications in the UK and US. He has published several collections of his short stories including 'Basement Tales' and 'You Could Make a Killing (Both Horror/ Crime/ Mystery shorts), Cellar Stories (Horror/ Suspense stories aimed at younger readers), Off Script (four short stories for indie film adaptation) and edited/ contributed to Noir from the Bar, a crime/ mystery anthology featuring 30 authors released during Covid lockdown raising funds for the NHS.

His first novel 'The Long Way Home' - a finalist in Bloody Scotland's Pitch Perfect competition was published in August 2026.
