Irina Dimitric

A former teacher of French and English for Speakers of other Languages, Irina Dimitric has been writing poetry and short stories and enjoying photography since 2011. She was born in Zagreb, Croatia, in the then Kingdom of Yugoslavia, before WW2 and migrated to Australia with her family in 1964. ‘Dreams on My Pillow’ is her first book of poetry reflecting her love of both countries. In October 2018, she published a memoir about her father’s experiences in WW1. She lives in Sydney with her husband. They enjoy walks in their leafy neighbourhood as well as at Balmoral Beach and feeding the local birds on their balcony.
