About the Author

I live in the beautiful upstate NY area with my wife and son. I am self-employed as a dog walker, but writing is one of my passions. My main passion is my family, my son is a talented soccer player, and I enjoyed coaching his rec soccer teams for 9 seasons. Now he has advanced to a travel soccer team, so I enjoy watching him play in games and tournaments. I am also a volunteer on the board of my son's soccer team.

Growing up my parents took my sister and I hiking and camping/backpacking in the Adirondacks (parts of the book "The Wall" are in the Adirondacks). This instilled my love of nature and inspired me to be active in helping the environment. I recently joined a political organization and volunteered for the climate change committee where we work on issues relating to the environment.

Another passion is getting out into nature with friends and my camera. I have had several of my images published in calendars, featured in commercial publications, news stories, and have sold many framed prints of my work. For 7 years I volunteered to be on the photography crew for the Adirondack Balloon Festival, an annual event in Glens Falls, NY with 100's of Hot Air balloons.
