Jillian Hogan (Ph.D.) specializes in child development at Siena University in New York. A former PreK through Grade 8 general music teacher, she researches teaching and learning in the arts with a focus on cognitive habits of mind and student engagement. Her co-authored book, Studio Thinking from the Start, was published by Teachers College Press in 2018. She regularly presents at conferences and provides professional development for arts teachers. Jill has served on the advisory board for Teaching for Artistic Behavior, Inc. since its inception and is on the executive board for the American Psychological Association’s Division 10 for the Psychology of Aesthetics, Creativity, and the Arts.
