Jeanelle Frontin is a multidimensional creative specialising in creative business, particularly within the music, entertainment, and literary industries. In the book world, Jeanelle is the award-winning fantasy author of The YaraStar Trilogy. Her debut novel, The Unmarked Girl, was regionally awarded the 2019 CODE Burt Award for Caribbean Young Adult Literature, and then internationally recognised through a listing and star with Kirkus Reviews.

In the music world, Jeanelle is a singer-songwriter with her alternative and electronic music duo, Dechode Mode. A husband-and-wife team, Kevin and Jeanelle had their first EP selected by Caribbean Beat’s March/April 2022 listening picks (the Caribbean Airlines’ signature magazine). Jeanelle is also the past GM of MusicTT, the State Agency responsible for the business development and export activities of the music industry of Trinidad and Tobago.

Now, she’s the co-founder of Mark Made Group, along with her husband. Using a project-based approach, Mark Made Group focuses on many uses and applications of creative intellectual property and its passive income streams. They also specialise in building unique, equitable business and event models for the entertainment industry. Adhering to their three-word mantra, “Create, Protect, Monetise,” they believe their mission would be complete when more creatives can sustainably declare, “WE ARE MARKMAKERS”.

Born in the Caribbean, in the twin-island Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, Jeanelle firmly believes that every human being on this planet should personally experience her native land. She's honoured to be the mother of Alyxander, the son of her greatest dreams.
