I tend to wear a lot of “hats” (said the bald man). I have master’s degrees in the arts and sciences from Texas universities, and my PhD in theology is from the University of Durham (UK). My primary area of academic study is spiritual borrowing, which is the process of spiritual practices from one religious tradition being utilized in different traditions. On professional and personal levels, I have a passion for the different practices of the spiritual life and training others to enrich their lives by using these practices. In addition to being a writer and spiritual adviser, I am also an adjunct college professor at various universities in religious studies, research writing, and library studies.
