Loraine Scott

Loraine Scott started writing about 25 years ago as a stress reliever Discovering that she was "pretty good", she began learning how to be better than "pretty good." Many years and many classes later, she published her first mystery--NYC: A Mission to Die For. As an avid reader, her favorite subject is murder mysteries. She is often heard to say that if someone doesn't die within the first 10 pages of the book she's not interested. However, because her life is multidimensional, three of her 5 books have nothing to do with murders or mysteries. Taya: Daughter of Jacob is a romance. As is Ailana: Daughter of Samuel the Lamanite. As a devout member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormon) she daily studies the scriptures and though she has taught gospel topics for most of her life, her favorite book to teach from is The Book of Mormon. Thus, her two romance novels are fictionalized accounts of some awesome people from that time period. Loraine is, however, working on another Summer Winter Mystery starting where NYC: Murder Brooklyn Style leaves off. And, if you like to snack while reading, don't forget to check out her cookbook, Time to Bake, which is another thing Loraine excels at.

Loraine is the mother of 5, the grandmother to 20 and the great-grandmother to 3 of the cutest girl-babies you have ever seen. She will be celebrating her 50th wedding anniversary in a little over a year.
