Autobiographical Narrative for Tony Evangelisto [2018]

Dr. Tony Evangelisto, a graduate of South Philadelphia High School in 1958, is Professor Emeritus of Educational Administration and Secondary Education from The College of New Jersey. He retired after thirty six years of teaching courses in Secondary Education, Curriculum, School Law, and Counseling among others. His professional involvements have focused primarily on teacher education and curriculum development, having presented and consulted extensively, within the United States and internationally [including Europe, the Middle East, Asia, Africa, and South America]. He recently completed a consulting engagement with the Sultan International Academy in Kuwait City, Kuwait.

Dr. Evangelisto has been involved in New Jersey’s Alternate Route program since its inception as instructor and subsequently as the Director of Regional Training Centers at Clinton, NJ, East Brunswick, NJ, and at The College of New Jersey; he also directed the training programs for the Troops to Teachers Program at Dix-McGuire- Lakehurst Joint Bases. He has earned an Ed.D. in Curriculum and Instruction, with a specialization in English-education, from Temple University and has earned six professional certifications in the State of New Jersey.

Taught for 2 years at Temple University as a teaching associate

Earned an M.Ed. in Secondary Education and an Ed.D. in English-Education at Temple

Taught at Trenton State College [now, The College of New Jersey [see details above] and retired as a full Professor after 36 years
