Hello Readers. I was born in India and worked in New Delhi as a Project Engineer, in Middle East and Addis Ababa as a visiting professor, and now working in New Zealand as a senior academic. Traveling has been my passion and observing people and their cultures and ways of living have always found a very interesting place in my heart. I always want to be with people with good sense of humour and love them for their simplicity. In my book 'Around the world in 360 minutes' you will find many interesting facts and figures about people and places with lots of anecdotes to keep you engrossed in the pages. Enjoy reading.

Here is one of the anecdotes: 'Luck does matter in job or otherwise'

With a pile of 300 resumes on his desk and a need to pick someone quickly, my boss told me to make calls on the bottom 50, and toss the rest.

"Throw away 250 resumes?" I asked, shocked. "What if the best candidates are in there?"

"You have a point," he said. "But then again, I don't need people with bad luck here."

That also reminds me a car ride with my daughter Priyanka. While driving her Mini cooper she cautioned us. Guys, I will try my best to drive you all safely as much as I can, but you still need to carry your lucks with yourselves. I said, yes, Priyanka, unlucky people are the last thing in the car that you need on a trip anyway.
